About the Foundation

The Barnett Newman Foundation was established in 1979 by Annalee Newman, the artist's widow. Its principal missions are to encourage the study and understanding of Barnett Newman's life and works.

The Barnett Newman Foundation and Yale University Press are the publishers of Barnett Newman: A Catalogue Raisonné by Richard Shiff, Carol C. Mancusi-Ungaro, and Heidi Colsman-Freyberger.
